On September the 26th we were invited to Laxenburg, just outside of Vienna. The former castle and summer recidency of Austrian emperors is the home of IIASA, an international science insitution. The institution was founded in the cold war and still stands for the scientific collaboration between countries, including those, who are not in best mutual consent.
IIASA is a leading organization for economical, social, environmental questions under the prime maxime of ’sustainable well-being‘, aiming for global solutions for global problems and overcoming nationalism.
Prof. Wolfang Lutz, a globally renowned demographer gave insights into his work. He focuses on population developments/forecasts and
interdependencies with e.g. education and environment.
