The Uniqa-Group invited us for a talk with Wolfgang Kindl (Uniqa Management Board), Teimour Bagirov (President Uniqa Ukraine) and Olena Uljee (CEO Uniqa Ukraine). On the occasion of the upcoming third anniversary of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.
Since the war, Uniqa played an active role in evacuations of families and provides services to it’s customers that go beyond traditional insurance business. Digitalization was a key factor to keep the business running regardless of all difficulties. We also heard from the long-term effects of the stress of living in a country in war – both for clients as well as for employees. Still, 98% of Uniqa employees returned to the Ukraine after a first refugee wave.
